There's no better place to be on the Fourth of July than right here in Independence.
This week, we had the honor of joining our neighbors at the Independence 4th of July parade — and what a celebration it was. From families lined up along the route to kids waving flags and everyone sharing in a little hometown pride, it was a reminder of exactly why this community means so much to so many of us.
Days like this are what our campaign is all about. Getting out, shaking hands, listening to neighbors, and celebrating the people who make Independence such a special place to call home. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to say hello, share a laugh, or talk about the future of our city.
Independence's greatest strength has always been its people — and that spirit was on full display this Fourth of July. We're proud to be part of this community, and we're just getting started.
